Get educated
Srimad Bhagavatam 11.3.21 class, Aust 2007 Why do we not know? Because we forgot. Otherwise knowledge is not a new thing (Bhagavad-gita 5.15-17). To gain knowledge we get educated, and for education the main thing is given in the dictionary even, to bring about the thing that we forgot (New Oxford American Dictionary, educate: from Latin educat - ‘led out’). It has to be recollected. Intelligence has a function to recollect. Mind does not recollect. Mind simply craves... "Give me this. Give me that." But intelligence is a discriminating faculty, and it is making a solution (Bhagavad-gita 3.42-43)... 'Chewing the chewed', where there is no juice, yet they keep on chewing (Srimad Bhagavatam 7.5.30-31). So all our actions for preyas (immediate sense pleasure) are like that. And we have to evaluate, how come they are not giving us tangible benefit?..
