  Get rid of enviousness

Bhagavad-gita 10.29-30 (Vrindavan December 2009)
This enviousness is considered to be the poison. It doesn't make anybody happy at any time. It destroys the devotional service. One cannot understand the intricacies of pure devotional service unless he changes his heart, gets rid of the enviousness - towards Krishna. So he becomes qualified to listen to Krishna katha - "idam tu te guhyatamam, pravaksyamy anasuyave, jnanam vijnana-sahitam, yaj jnatva moksyase asubhat" (Bg 9.1). So, this enviousness creates everything inauspicious, and the whole world runs on inauspiciousness, not on auspiciousness. Auspiciousness is Krishna consciousness. Right.

So, unless and until one is non-enviousness of Lord Sri Krishna. Can you imagine how much time and generations it took us to become a devotee? And still, within the devotional life we compete and we become envious of each other, and we think we are devotees.

That continues on and on and on and on, and who can go back home, back to Godhead? But, Krishna qualified Arjuna, and that we have to see.
