Welcome to the Website of His Holiness Vedavyasapriya Swami

His Holiness has been serving his spiritual master, His Divine Grace A C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, and the International Society for Krishna Consciousness(ISKCON) inaugurated by His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada, well before his spiritual initiation in 1977. He has dedicated his life to spreading the soul-rescuing teachings and philosophy of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.

Please refer to the About Us page for some of the glorious achievements of His Divine Grace A.C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada and Vedavyasapriya Maharaja's humble service in Krishna Consciousness.

On these pages we will endeavor to provide a sampling of the extensive teachings of His Holiness Vedavyasapriya Maharaja to begin to quench the spiritual thirst in our world today. Vedavyasapriya Swami's teachings are relevant to devotees and people in general at many levels of spiritual knowledge, realization and practice. His teachings are solely based on the teachings of his spiritual master (His Divine Grace A.C Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada), and previous acharyas of the Brahma Madhva Gaudiya Vaishnava Sampradaya.
The Brahma Madhva Gaudiya Vaishnava Sampradaya is the most dynamic disciplic succession of spiritual knowledge and realization authorized by Lord Sri Krishna Himself, in which Lord Krishna Himself appears again in the form of a devotee, Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, to spread Love of God throughout this material world for the deliverance of all souls in this Kaliyuga. The readers of these pages will be introduced to the authorized process for deliverance in this age.

Petition against ban of Bhagavad Gita in Russia

Bhagavad-gita As It Is, one of the most respected holy scriptures of the world today, is under the threat of being banned in Russia.

The court proceedings will resume in Siberian city Tomsk, Russia, on Monday 19th. The prosecutors in Tomsk suggest that the widely distributed book translated and commented upon by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada should be included in the Justice Ministry's list of banned extremist literature.

Bhagavad-gita As It Is is translated in more than 80 languages. Over 100 million copies of this book was distributed to date all over the world! Millions of people in the world today consider it as the main book in their life.

The prosecutors with great determination and vigor are pushing through this absurd case. During the first three court hearings, the testimony of the Tomsk experts upon which the prosecutors built their case for the court was recognized as «inadequate». However, the Prosecutor's Office ordered the new testimony. Noteworthy, that the testimony was requested not from the well-known experts of Hinduism from Moscow, but from some unknown experts from Kemerovo State University. This move clearly suggests that the court decision is already predestined. This practice brings to memory the Middle Age Inquisition, Witch hunting, burning of books and the persecution of the dissidents during Soviet period of Russian history.

Tomsk Ombudsperson, eminent scholars of Hinduism, the members of the Public Chamber of Russian Federation, representatives of Indian community in Russia, and people belonging to different religious denominations in Russia have already expressed their perplexity and outrage caused by the activities of Tomsk prosecutors.

We demand to stop the court over the Holy Scripture! These initiatives of the Tomsk Prosecutor’s Office offend the religious sentiments of all the followers of Hinduism and bring disgrace to the country of Russia.

To represent the desire of the Lord

Initiation class, Brisbane 31 May 2009

To understand the role of the spiritual master, a madhyam adhikari can assume that service, to represent the desire of the Lord and the disciplic succession (Bhagavad-gita 4.1-2). He is like a letter carrier. He simply delivers the letter without opening.

It means the message of the Lord should be delivered. That is his main function (Bhagavad-gita 4.34). And to realize, or help realize, his disciples, he has to also firmly practice and advance in Krishna consciousness (Bhagavad-gita 3.21, Caitanya-caritamrta Adi 3.20, 4.41). So he can help. His realization can certainly become the guideline, and in this way the disciple also progresses.
