Dear Devotees I'm trying my best to narrate my experience with His Holiness Vedavyasapriya Swami but please forgive any offences
or mistakes i commit unintentionally.
Our God family at Ludhiana spent 2 splendid days with Gurudev from 8th-9th May.
Gurudev came from Chandigarh with Krishnakripanidhi Prabhuji and his family nearly at 12:30 pm.
We all were waiting at Uttara Mataji's place. Gurudev came in and due to His transcendental presence an ambience filled the room
and became purely blissful.
He then gave all of us his precious blessings. Later in the evening our other God brothrs and sisters came.
We all got a wonderful oppotunity to experience the powerful Harinam Sankirtan by Gurudev,
followed by gaura-aarti of Sri Sri Jagannath Baladev Subhadra ji by Madan Gopal Prabhu.
Then Gurudev answered some of our questions.
The next morning there was Harinaam Sankirtan arranged at Shreshtha Prabhuji's place.
There were local citizens and many more people to welcome Gurudev.
On the way to Prabhuji's home Gurudev told us about his Harinaam initiation
and it was surprising to hear that Gurudev had moustache at that time and H.G.
Shivaradhya Prabhuji also took His initiation with Him.
Then Gurudev arrived at Prabhuji's place had his breakfast and then He lead the
Kirtan.
He sang Hari Hari Bifale Janam Gunainu......the ambience became transcedental,
we didnt have words to express the vibrations of Harinaaam.
Later Gurudev explained the meaning of Narottam Das Thakur's prayers unto the lotus feet of
Sri Krishna and Srimati Radharani, that "Oh my Lord please do not punish me by
taking away the shelter of Your lotus feet because I have just got
enlightened and surrenderd myself unto Your lotus feet".
Then Gurudev gave the example of fallen souls Jagai - Madhai and briefly explained
the incident. In that Gurudev highlighted the merciful nature of
Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and Nityananda. He described the scene so well
that we could feel it in our hearts.
Gurudev emphasised the importance of surrendering to devotees of Lord by
giving the instance of Lord Nityananda. When Jagai threw the bottle towards
Lord Nityananda then Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu became angry and took His
Sudarshan Chakra in His hand. Then only due to forgiveness of Lord Nityananda
Jagai and Madhai got salvation. Then He emphasised the importance of
Harinaam in Kaliyug.
He gave many examples of other people who due to their arrogance neglect
Hare Krishna Mahamantra and produce new Mantras which have no affiliation
in Shastras.
He also described the importance of taking shelter of bonafide spritual master.
Then Gurudev compared this world with jail and asked everyone to follow the path
of Harinaam.
In the end Gurudev joined His hands and requested everyone to chant
Hare Krishna Maha mantra... this moment brought tears in my eyes because our
Gurudev being such a great soul joined hands in front of us - the most fallen
souls that we were ashamed of ourselves but on the other hand we felt that
our Gurudev is great and bonafide as He follows the orders of Chaitanya
Mahaprabhu
trinad api sunicena
taror api sahishnuna
amanina manadena
kirtaniyah sada harih
Then He went to Jagannath Prabhuji's home and had His lunch. After sometime
Gurudev again gave us a chance to experience His splendid kirtan. He sang
Mahamantra and Mama man mandire, then it was time for him to leave .
That was the most emotional time for us. We then went to railway station
to see-off. But we have to make our hearts understand that His
mission is to preach and for that He cannot stay with us all the time.
But the whole experience is still not dependent on words to be described .
Its just the mercy of Sri Guru and Gauranga.
